Many TBM patients present to your clinic in sympathetic dominance, a constant state of fight, flight or freeze. In order to facilitate healing it is vital to up-regulate the parasympathetic nervous system so that the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems can work harmoniously together. In TBM, we utilize a technique called Grizzly Bear (taught in Module 2) to up-regulate the parasympathetic nervous system. As part of this technique, we recommend that patients perform daily pelvic blocking at home until they are clear of “Grizzly Bear” and for this purpose, we sell Patient Blocks. These uncovered, soft foam blocks are comfortable and easy to use, increasing patient compliance, and thus increasing the efficacy of treatment.
